Friends of the Hastings Public Library
Membership information
As a member you will:
- Support the library in developing its services and facilities for the community.
- Have the opportunity to volunteer at library programs and behind-the-scenes library activities.
- Enjoy the fellowship of other Friends at social events and service projects.
- Receive the Friends newsletter to stay informed about library programs.

Volunteer
As a member of Friends you have the opportunity to provide valuable volunteer service to the library. Friends volunteers give their time to perform needed jobs at the library. They work in cooperation with library staff to shelve magazine, mend books, shelf-read (search the shelves for missing and misplaced books), sort books for the book sale, create displays, and work on special projects in cataloging. Volunteers also host receptions for programs and social events and help with dozens of necessary tasks associated with the annual book sale.
